If Great Britain votes to leave the EU, it would be a major political and economic loss, the Hungarian Foreign Minister said, when announcing Mondi's investment.
British paper and packaging company Mondi is investing 13 billion Forints at its facility in Bekescsaba, Eastern Hungary and creates 220 new workplaces as a result, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto said announced, according to the Hungarian News Agency (MTI).
Mr Szijjarto also mentioned that it's the basic interest of both the European Union and Hungary that Great Britain stays in the union, as Brexit would cause a major political and economic loss. He added that the result of the British referendum is very important for Hungary, because we agree with their opinion on national sovereignty.
