Bosch will invest HUF 19 bn in Hatvan, creating 601 new jobs, announced Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto announced Wednesday at a press conference in Budapest.
With this investment, the new Bosch factory will produce central control systems for state-of-the-art, next generation electric and hybrid cars, new types of long and mid-range radars as well as various sensors, meaning the city will be the site of utterly high tech production.
“The government provides HUF 4.7 bn in subdisy for the project”, said Mr Szijjarto.
Currently, the Bosch Group employes some 12,200 people in Hungary, of whom 1500 work in the area of research and development. According to Szijjarto, several other Bosch projects are also expected to be announced soon.
