The closing ceremona of the 2017 World Aquatics Championships was held on Sunday.
Julio Maglione, the president of the international swimming federation (FINA) congratulated Hungary on the 2017 World Aquatics Championships organised in Budapest and Balatonfüred. According to Maglione this was the best championships in FINA's history. At the closing ceremony on Sunday, the FINA flag was handed over the the mayor of Gwangju, South Korea.
