German manufacturer Audi at its Győr factory turned out a total of 2,022 million engines last year, 50,000 more than a year earlier, the company announced. Car output also rose by some 25,000 to 160,000.
Last year the plant rolled out 1.53 million four-cylinder engines and 435,636 six-cylinder engines, accounting for most of the firmʼs engine production, MTI reported. The German company is planning further investments in the Hungarian plant this year in order to improve their international competitiveness, Audi Hungaria Motor managing director Péter Kossler said
There are 11,411 working at the Audi factory, an annual increase of 137 in 2015.
