Minister of Foreign Affairs held talks in Andorra regarding key issues the two countries can cooperate on.

Andorra is set to become a key ally to Hungary on the issue of Ukraine's education law as well as the push for tax harmonisation in the European Union, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said after talks in Andorra on Tuesday, MTI reported. Szijjarto held talks with Prime Minister Antoni Marti Petit, Foreign Minister Maria Ubach Font and Vicenc Mateu Zamora, head of the Andorran parliament.

"Andorra, too, is highly sensitive to minority issues," Szijjarto told MTI by phone on Tuesday, stressing that Ukraine's education law banning post-primary-level education in minority languages severely violated the rights of ethnic Hungarians in that country. The minister said Hungary and Andorra also agreed that the introduction of EU tax harmonisation laws would do harm to both countries.
