Hungary needs to set up the temporary fence on it's southers border as quick as possible, otherwise the flow of illegal immigrants will continue to grow, said Janos Lazar on his weekly Thursday press conference.
The country can't wait for months, we have to start buildig the physical barrier between Hungary and Serbia within weeks , said Lazar, who also mentioned Wednesday's important but friendly talks between Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandr Vucic.
The fence is clearly not against the serbian people or the country, stated hungarian governments in a private meeting with their serbian colleagues. Hungary considers the decision not as a matter of international politics, but as a question of Border Police.
Our constitutional obligation is to defend our southern borders, hopefully with help from the European Union, but if not, we'll get by on our own.
