Hungary wants to be an opinion-forming force in the fight against the persecution of Christians, the Hungarian Minister of Human Capacities told the public radio. Zoltán Balog added that it might sound surprising, but Christianity is the most persecuted religion of the world. Two-third of the religiously motivated right infringements, murders and attacks are against Christians. "It's the shame of the 21st century that their physical elimination is a realistic possibility", he said. According to the minister it's Hungary's moral duty and interest to help the persecuted Christians, for example by building churches or offering scholarships.
