No Cases of Sexual Harassment in the Transit Zones

The Lanzarote Committee found no cases of harassment or exploitation against minors in the transit zones at the Hungarian-Serbian border.

The Council of Europe's Lanzarote Committee delegation inspected the living conditions of 14-18 year-old migrants in the Hungarian transit zones. Following the invitation of the Hungarian government, the delegation arrived on Wednesday to verify the child protection measures put in place in the transiz zones of Röszke and Tompa. “They learnt about no cases” of sexual harassment or sexual exploitation of unaccompanied minors, according to the Ministry of Human Resources.
