Viktor Orbán praise the importance of the Visegrad Group at the ceremony in Warsaw, where Hungary took over the presidency from Poland.

Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo officially handed over the year-rotating presidency of the Visegrad Group (V4) to her Hungarian counterpart, Viktor Orbán at a ceremony in the Royal Castle of Warsaw. Mr. Orbán praised the cooperation of the four member states, stressing that without their joint efforts "hundreds of thousands of migrants would still be pouring into Europe, further destroying the safe lives of European people".

The Prime Minister said that central Europe “has nothing to feel ashamed of” in terms of its economy, security, culture, or the quality of its democracy, and insisted that the European Union had greatly benefitted from integrating the region’s countries.
