Hungary's wages on rise for 49 consecutive months

Hungary’s wage rate is on rise as gross wages were up by 10 percent year-on-year in January 2017, reported KSH.

Gross wages rose to HUF 273 800, thanks to the effects of the six-year wage agreement, Minister for National Economy Mihaly Varga said Monday. The Hungarian wages altogether have been rising since the beginning of 2013, for 49 consecutive months.

The increase in the number of people employed in the private sector, 87000, is a signals dynamic job growth as such number has been unprecedented.
