Foreign minister reacted to a Financial Times article
Hungary's "rock solid" stance on migration is that it is "bad, dangerous and can be stopped", Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto told MTI.
Hungary's "rock solid" stance on migration is that it is "bad, dangerous and can be stopped", Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto told MTI.
Szijjarto reacted to an article in the Financial Times which said Germany wants to tie receipt of EU structural funds to help provided to migrants, MTI reports. He stressed that several member states have made it clear that "they will not accept any kind of political conditions or blackmail in this matter because the flow of EU funds is not a one-way street."
Hungary opened up its market to the European Union, Szijjarto reminded. He said EU funds were not handouts from western European countries but rather contractual subsidies to which Hungary is entitled.
